Job Description:

The Berri War Memorial Community Centre Inc., owners and operators of the Berri Riverside Holiday Park, are seeking a highly energetic and motivated couple to manage our beautiful park located in the Riverland town of Berri and overlooking the majestic River Murray.
As a team you must be capable of undertaking work in all aspects of the business together and as individuals. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for customer service and thrive in a “hands on” operational environment, where attention to detail, staff leadership and personal organisation are the keys to success.  A passion for the Holiday Park industry is a must to be successful in this role.
Given the size of the park and the on-going expansion of our facilities, it is essential that applicants have at least 2 years experience in Holiday Park Management.  Candidates without experience will not be considered.

Job Requirements:

Key Duties
  • Provision of a high level of customer service
  • General grounds and pool maintenance and repairs
  • Identifying and programming of maintenance, repairs and upgrades
  • Assisting with procurement of works, goods and services for the park
  • Identifying and managing WH&S risks and incident reporting
  • Management of reservations and general office duties
  • Ensure effective rostering of park staff
  • Staff management and working with budgets
  • Management of cleaning of cabins and park facilities
  • On call Night Duty
  • Promotion of the Park and local attractions
Key Criteria
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with guests from booking to departure
  • Provide, without exception, outstanding customer service
  • High level computer skills - extensive knowledge of RMS9 and 9+ including reporting and tariff entry
  • Effective problem solving and team leadership skills ensuring you both handle issues proactively, effectively and with diplomacy and common sense
  • The ability to manage and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Demonstrated general maintenance and handyman abilities, a trade certificate would be desirable, but is not essential.
  • Sound understanding of WH&S management and responsibilities
  • Ability to be innovative in ideas in order to grow the business
  • Social media and marketing experience will be highly regarded
  • Flexible attitude to work and work hours
  • Applicants must be prepared to commit to this position for the long term.
The successful applicants will be required to live on site with a 3 bedroom house provided as part of the salary package.  Remuneration will be subject to skills and experience and will be negotiated with the short listed applicants.
